Rain

It pours down from clouds
Makes ur heart sing loud
In the form of droplets
Blushes many scarlets
Reaches the ground
Makes a sweet sound
Blends with the river
Flows with a quiver
Freshens the air
Brings a new flair
Heals sorrows n pain
That's what we call rain

My tribute to 'The pursuit of happyness'

"Happiness is a virtue that one can only pursue but never have it."
We often go through this emotional turmoil in our lives. We look around and find people happier than what we are and wonder why we can't be like them. Sometimes we hit the rock-bottom so hard that a flat deserted surface seems like a heaven. Happiness itself is a complex emotion. For some its a natural process because positive events occur in their lives and make them happy. For the rest it just remains a state of mind. They wake up every morning and say to themselves, 'today is going to be a great day' and when they come back at night they are thankful about the fact that they survived. For them it is just a matter of hope that one day they will be happy for real and they wont have to fool themselves every morning.
We all make this mistake. We all look around and identify people with more leisure and luxury than what we have. We find their position enviable and almost end up imagining ourselves in their shoes. What if we do the opposite? Will life be any different then? What if we look around and identify people who are less fortunate than we are. We might feel terrible for a moment after witnessing their miseries. If we are in position we might lend a helping hand despite our limitations. And the feeling that may arouse after helping someone may be close to the ultimate feeling of joy. This joy of giving despite our atrocities may be the small part of our life we are looking for. And that very small part of our life is called "Happyness".

When will my love open the door

When will my love open the door
I hv been long stranded at the shore

I could c some hope sailing at far
Couldn't reach it cz of previous scar
The ocean full of memories in hand
Some nice some bad to withstand

When will my love open the door
I hv been long stranded at the shore

The sky full of twinkling stars
Calling them down seems bizzare
I wish to be up there one day
Someone gazing at me from the bay

When will my love open the door
I hv been long stranded at the shore

Time will make stars into constellations
Words will unite to form quotations
The gist will still be the same
Even though love changes its name

Let my love open the door
To see what destiny has in store

Oblivion is inevitable

"Love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we are all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to the dust and i know sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and still I am in love with you."
Every time I read this, I experience shivers down my spine due to excitement as well as awe. How true it is for everyone and not just for those suffering from terminal illness. Our existence is short-lived and deriving pleasures by loving beautiful things should be our forth right. This book, "The fault in our stars" is supposedly a love story between 2 terminally ill teenagers. Its about how they want to spend their remaining time on this planet, which is obviously very less. Its about how they connect with each other despite their personal health miseries and be there for each other in atrocious situations.
This is not all about the book. Its not just another cancer story that will make your reading sympathetic. It questions the basic virtue of existence for all humans. You may not be terminally ill  but your stay on this planet is short lived too. No one is going to live forever. The term 'forever' is just a farce. There is an incident where people pay tributes at the funeral of one of the lead characters, they happen to use the infamous line of all times, "He was a fighter and he will remain in our hearts forever". No one is forever here, so no one can claim to keep someone in their hearts forever. Whatever time we have, more or less we got to use it to fulfill our wishes, however stupid they might seem.
After reading this, we start believing that atleast for some of us this world is a wish granting factory, where most if not all of our dreams come true. We get to live with our loved ones, be loved and are in a position to love others. What's better pleasure than being loved in this world where we are going to be dusted sooner or later.

A land to stand and a sky to fly

I never aspired to conquer the world
I just wanted a space for my word
I hope to be nurtured even after I die
All I need is a land to stand and a sky to fly.

Some leaders come to influence and some just come and go
Some leave an impact, others reap what they sow
I want to bring a smile and stop the hue and cry
All I need is a land to stand and a sky to fly.

Some moments bring joy, some bring tears
Every moment should be cherished with strong heart and no fear
I want to accept each moment as truth and not a lie
All I need is a land to stand and a sky to fly.

Still some fight left in me...

When the sun sets in the dark
Toothless tigers begin to bark
I wanna have a stature as green as a tree
There's still some fight left in me.

When expectations burn into ashes
Your image gets stuffed in trashes
I hope to come back in awe and glee
There's still some fight left in me.

Things will get tougher than ever
I wont say die, never
I accept the challenge from the mountains and sea
There's still some fight left in me.
